About Friends of Chichester Hospitals
The Friends are proud to be entirely volunteer led and operated, supporting St Richard’s Hospital and local mental health services. This means that all the money we raise goes directly to making a real difference for patients, visitors and staff.
Much of the vital equipment used in the hospital on a daily basis has been provided by funds raised by the Friends. Visit our blog to see our latest fundraising events, appeals and equipment provided. Every £1 makes a difference.
We ensure that:
- Staff have the best equipment available to treat and care for patients.
- A patient’s hospital stay is as comfortable as possible.
- Patients, staff and visitors are served by the hospital shop and ward trolleys.
We’re already making a difference – we can achieve even more with your help
The Friends support St Richard’s Hospital and mental health services in practical ways – providing support and funding medical and therapeutic equipment which is beyond the means of the hospital’s NHS budget.
A registered charity that has supported Chichester’s hospitals since 1948, the Friends are a link between St Richard’s Hospital and the community it serves.
The Friends have a strong local membership who pay a small annual subscription (£10 minimum). We value their contribution to our activities, and through the AGM, members act as scrutineers of the Trustees’ activities.
