October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Friends of Chichester Hospitals are raising funds to help them buy equipment for the Breast Clinic at St Richard’s Hospital.
A £30,000 X-Ray Guided Biopsy System will help staff to diagnose and treat very tiny cancer nodes here in Chichester, saving patients a longer and inconvenient journey to Worthing.
A prize draw has just been launched to win a beautiful patchwork quilt, created by two Friends’ volunteers, Penny Haddacks and Sue Barge. Almost a year of stitching has gone into making the quilt, in a pattern known as “Path to School”.
Tickets cost £1 each and are available from the Friends Shop in the Outpatient Entrance. The winning ticket will be drawn by the Mayor of Chichester, Councillor Martyn Bell, on Tuesday 18th December at 3pm, at the Friends’ Shop – just in time for Christmas!
