Why join?

By becoming a Friend, you contribute to Friends’ funds, and strengthen the charity’s links with the community.

Friends (or members) receive three or four newsletters each year, informing them of recent purchases, fundraising activities and forthcoming events, as well as news of any new developments in our hospitals.

At our Annual General Meeting, Friends receive our magazine format Annual Report of the trustees’ activities, and elect trustees and officers of the charity. Friends also help us to fulfill our responsibility to act as a communication channel between the hospital service and the community, by raising matters of concern.

Friends demonstrate both the strength of support for St Richard’s and the value which people place on having access to high quality treatment in this area.

“I had my baby girl at St Richard’s Hospital. Once we all returned home and reflected on our stay in hospital it dawned on us that nearly all of the equipment, both life saving and non, was donated by Friends. We were amazed one charity could do so much.”
