The “Walter Babies” from W. Stirland in Birdham took part in the Chichester Lions’ Swimathon in May – and swam a fantastic 95 lengths of the pool at Westgate Leisure Centre.
The team of six put in a tremendous effort. Their Swimathon fundraising will provide equipment for the Fernhurst Cancer Centre at St Richard’s Hospital. Inspired by the care given by the Centre to a colleague, the team wanted to help future patients there.
